Invitation to all NHS Counsellors and psychotherapists to participate in a research project:

If you are a counsellor or psychotherapist working in the NHS I would really value your input into this research in order to document therapists understanding and experience of clinical governance. This should only take about 5 to 10 minutes of your time.

I am undertaking research in the field of clinical governance.  Clinical Governance is the system through which NHS organisations are accountable for continuously monitoring and improving the quality of their care and services and safeguarding high standards of care and services.

This may provoke a range of reactions in the autonomous practitioner (like you may feel you are being told what to do) where there is an expectation that we work within a quality framework like clinical governance.

The purpose of this investigation is to measure NHS counsellors and psychotherapists understanding and experience of clinical governance within the NHS.
