Sexual Health services across the UK have been adversely affected by cuts to service provision, an increase in the complexity of patients and fewer resources to cope, and many clinics are also struggling to fund clinical supervision for their staff.
We wanted to get a feel of how this was affecting the emotional health and wellbeing of the staff on the frontline. To this end, we have created a short survey to assess the prevalence of vicarious trauma amongst staff, and strategies we use to cope with the demands of our work.
We are hoping to present the results of this research at the 2019 BASHH Conference and we hope it will help inform the debate around how well we look after our sexual health workforce. Thanks for taking a minute to complete the survey.
